RELATING TO HEALTH. Requires a hospital, including a public health facility, to provide information and emergency contraception to a sexual assault victim; requires training; includes penalties. (HB466 HD1)

RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION. Allows for the operation of larger articulated buses used for public transit purposes on public roadways.

RELATING TO DRIVER LICENSES. Permits the examiner of drivers to waive the knowledge and performance tests for applicants holding a valid drivers license from another state of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, a province of the Dominion of Canada, or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. RELATING TO THE INTERNET. Creates a cyber safety pilot project in the department of the attorney general aimed to protect school children by educating students, teachers, and parents about how to avoid dangers on the Internet.

RELATING TO TAXATION. Allows taxpayers who are reciprocal beneficiaries or domestic partners to elect to file as separate individuals, as married, or married filing singly. Excludes from gross income, adjusted gross income, and taxable income the value of health insurance and other direct or indirect benefits provided by an employer to reciprocal beneficiaries or domestic partners. Allows exemptions to be claimed for reciprocal beneficiaries or domestic partners.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW
Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:
· Testifier's name with position/title and organization;
· The Committee the comments are directed to;
· The date and time of the hearing;
· Measure number;
· The number of copies the Committee is requesting.
While every effort will be made to copy, organize, and collate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed to the incorrect office, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.
Submit testimony in one of the following ways:
PAPER: 5 copies (including an original) to Room 302 in the State Capitol; or
EMAIL: For comments less than 5 pages in length, transmit to JUDtestimony@Capitol.hawaii.gov.
