Requires the employer to continue medical services to an injured employee despite disputes over whether treatment should be continued, until the director of labor and industrial relations decides whether treatment should be continued. (HB2388 HD1)

Certifies entities as exclusive representatives absent an election where no other representatives are certified as the exclusive representatives. Requires immediate collective bargaining between parties once entities are certified as exclusive representatives. Effective 07/01/2008. (HB2974 HD2)

RELATING TO SURCHARGE FOR INDIGENT LEGAL SERVICES.

Increases indigent legal services funding by increasing the surcharge on initial filing fees for civil actions. (HB3422 HD2)

Makes a third and subsequent conviction for prostitution a class C felony when the offense is committed by a person who pays, or offers or agrees to pay, a fee for sex with another person. (HB3002 HD1)

When faxing, please indicate to which committee the testimony is being submitted and the date and time of the hearing.

· By Email: Testimony may be emailed if less than 5 pages in length, to testimony@capitol.hawaii.gov. Please indicate to which committee the testimony is being submitted and the date and time of the hearing. Email sent to individual offices or any other Senate office will not be accepted.

Please note: If you submit your written testimony after 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the hearing, please sign-in at the staff table to testify orally. Written copies of your testimony will not be distributed during the hearing but will be posted online for the public after the hearing.
