NOTICE OF ASSET-BUILDING TASK FORCE MEETING

The policy director at CFED (a national organization that advocates for asset building policy) will present on the following to the task force:

 

 *   What is CFED and its work in asset building policy across the nation?

 *   CFED Assets & Opportunity Scorecard for Hawai`i - CFED creates a scorecard which looks at wealth, poverty and financial security of families in the U.S. Each state is given a scorecard grade.

 *   Hawaii Asset Policy Roadmap and CFED's work with the Ho`owaiwai initiative

 *   Discuss the goals of the task force, asset limits, financial education and children's savings accounts), with an emphasis on children's savings accounts. The policy director will present on the CFED's SEED initiative which brought national and community partners to design, administer, and document specific children's savings programs.

 *   Share any advice & guidance in creating policies for the 3 areas

 

No public testimony will be accepted.
