RELATING TO RENTAL ASSISTANCE.

Provides qualified rental assistance applicants up to 90 days to find a qualified rental dwelling.

RELATING TO HOUSING.

Appropriates $500,000 to assist developers in contracting for third party review and certification to expedite the processing and issuance of building permits for affordable housing projects, including the performance of inspections.

AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS AND MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DWELLING UNIT REVOLVING FUND.

Appropriates $30,000,000 into the dwelling unit revolving fund.

RELATING TO THE CONVEYANCE TAX.

Extends the sunset date for the allocation of 50% of the conveyance tax to the rental housing trust fund from 6/30/08 to 6/30/13.

RELATING TO KUKUI GARDENS.

Appropriates $26,000,000 in general obligation bonds to finalize the sale of the Kukui Gardens housing project.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns. This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
