Appropriates $1.0 million in general funds to pay statewide increases in electricity payments for fiscal year 2007-2008.

Establishes a sub-account under the state parks special fund into which 100% of the proceeds collected from the various fees collected at the Kokee state park and Waimea canyon state park, less any net amounts due to OHA, will be deposited and used to cover the cost of repair, maintenance, and operation at the Kokee state park and Waimea canyon state park.

RELATING TO INCOME TAX CREDIT.

Provides a mandatory tax credit to taxpayers pursuant to article VII, section 6 of the Constitution of the State of Hawaii.

RELATING TO TAXATION.

Requires the department of business, economic development, and tourism, and the department of human services to evaluate certain tax credits and tax exemptions and report to legislature as to whether they should be modified, reenacted, or repealed.  Provides automatic repeal of the tax credits and tax exemptions unless extended by the legislature.

While every effort will be made to copy, organize, and collate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed to the incorrect office, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
