RELATING TO PETROLEUM INDUSTRY REPORTING.

Clarifies the reporting and publishing requirements of the public utilities commission to more accurately reflect the information reported by oil producers, refiners, marketers, oil transporters, oil storers, and oil retailers.  (SD2)

RELATING TO SOLID WASTE.

Requires the department of health to conduct an independent analysis on the structural stability of the ash monofill relating to requested modification to the existing permit for the Waimanalo gulch sanitary landfill. (SB2192 SD2)

RELATING TO INTEGRATED SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT.

Permit the department of health to distribute excess moneys in the deposit beverage container deposit special fund to the counties to support the establishment and maintenance of beverage bottle and related county-run recycling programs. (SB2711 SD2)

RELATING TO AGRICULTURAL LANDS.

Permits the use of lands in agricultural land use districts to be used for agricultural-energy facilities provided that the primary activity of the agricultural-energy enterprise is agricultural activity. (SD1)

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee the comments are directed to;

·     The date and time of the hearing;

·     Measure number; and

·     The number of copies the Committee is requesting. 

 

While every effort will be made to copy, organize, and collate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed to the incorrect office, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
