RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

Requires the University of Hawaii board of regents to publicly disclose in open meetings:  (1) compensation offered to newly hired employees; (2) changes in compensation offered to existing employees for administrative positions in the UH system filled by excluded employees; and (3) all budgetary expenditures made by the board of regents.

RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

Requires the submission of candidates' names for the regents candidate advisory council within sixty days following the notification of a vacancy.  Clarifies the requirement of the submission of the names of the candidates to the governor.  Makes confidential all information received or maintained by the regents candidate advisory council.  Requires candidates to reside in the geographic area which the candidate represents.  Appropriates funds for an administrative position to support regents candidate advisory council operations.  Requires the governor to notify the regents candidate advisory council of vacancies on the board of regents in a timely manner.
