2008 Update on Hawaii's Growing Dual-Use Industry

Last year, Hawaii congressional staff and dual-use companies reported on the growth of this industry, which has brought over $4 billion in federal R&D, testing and evaluation dollars into Hawaii's economy.  It's been the fastest-growing segment of Hawaii's tech industry, with over 739% growth in contracts, and 73% growth in grants in recent years.  The legislature encouraged further growth by adopting Act 267, SLH 2007, to supplement federal grants awarded by CEROS and HTDV to Hawaii companies.  This year's panelists include:
