Creates a high technology industry task force, attached to the high technology development corporation, to develop a state master plan for high technology prior to the convening of the 2010 regular session and updated every 2 years thereafter.  Changes composition of task force after 2010 regular session.

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE HAWAII CAPITAL CULTURAL DISTRICT.

Appropriates funds to renovate the Kamamalu Building and renames the No. 1 Capitol District Building the Hawaii State Art Museum to be used exclusively by the museum.

RELATING TO THE HAWAII CAPITAL CULTURAL HERITAGE AREA.

Codifies the designation of the Nu‘uanu ahupua‘a area in Honolulu respectively between Kalihi and Piikoi streets, and Pali lookout and the Pacific ocean as the Hawaii capital cultural heritage area.  Appropriates funds for the arts and culture development branch of the department of business, tourism, and economic development, to plan and implement programs and projects that recognize, preserve, stimulate, and celebrate the significance of the Hawaii capital cultural heritage area.
