RELATING TO ELECTRONIC DEVICE RECYCLING.

Establishes a state program for collection, recycling, enforcement, and monitoring of covered electronic devices; establishes program funding through the electronic device recycling fund.  (SB2843 HD1)

RELATING TO AEROSPACE DEVELOPMENT.

Appropriates funds for the continuing operations of the Pacific international space center for exploration systems.  (SB2891 SD1)

RELATING TO ENERGY RESOURCES.

Requires the installation of solar thermal or comparable renewable energy devices to heat water in single-family residences constructed after 1/1/2010.  Restricts renewable energy income tax credit for solar thermal energy systems installed and placed in service in single-family residential properties to those constructed prior to 1/1/2010.  (SB644 HD1)

Status

RELATING TO TAXATION.

Proposed HD1:  Establishes the repeal all tax credits and exemptions except for those pertaining to individual income tax, beginning in the 2009 taxable year.  Repeals provisions that are no longer applicable.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee the comments are directed to;

·     The date and time of the hearing;

·     Measure number; and

·     The number of copies the Committee is requesting. 

 

While every effort will be made to copy, organize, and collate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed to the incorrect office, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
