Madam President:
Your Committee on Judiciary and Labor, to which was referred S.B. No. 891 entitled:
"A BILL FOR AN ACT MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR COLLECTIVE BARGAINING COST ITEMS,"
begs leave to report as follows:
The purpose of this measure is to appropriate funds to pay for collective bargaining cost items relating to contributions to the Hawaii employer-union health benefits trust fund for state employees in units 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, and 13, and for officers and employees excluded from collective bargaining.
Your Commitee received testimony from HGEA and the State Department of Human Resources Development in support of this bill.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Judiciary and Labor that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of S.B.
No. 891 and recommends that it pass Second Reading and be referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
