     Your Committee on Water and Land, to which was referred Governor's Message No. 486, submitting for study and consideration the nomination of: 

 

Land Use Commission

LISA M. JUDGE,

for a term to expire 6-30-2012,

 

begs leave to report as follows:

 

     Your Committee has reviewed the personal history, resume, and statement submitted by the nominee and finds Lisa M. Judge to have the necessary qualifications to be nominated to the Land Use Commission.

 

     Testimony in support of the nomination of Lisa M. Judge was submitted by the Land Use Commission, Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, and an individual commissioner of the Land Use Commission.

 

     Ms. Judge is the Maui commissioner and current chairperson of the Land Use Commission.  She is presently employed as a real estate sales consultant with Makena Bay Properties.  Previously, she was the owner and broker of Paliku Realty, LLC and the director of marketing of Kaanapali Beach Resort Association.  Prior to that, Ms. Judge served as the County of Maui Director of Planning.  Ms. Judge received her Bachelor's degree in mathematical sciences from Stanford University.

 

     As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Water and Land that is attached to this report, your Committee, after full consideration of the background, experience, and qualifications of the nominee, has found the nominee to be qualified for the position to which nominated and recommends that the Senate advise and consent to the nomination.
