Your Committee on Economic Development and Taxation, to which was referred Governor's Message No. 327, submitting for study and consideration the nomination of:

Your Committee reviewed the personal history, resume, and statement submitted by the nominee, and finds Sandra Albano to have the necessary qualifications to be nominated to the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts Commission.
Your Committee received testimony in support of Sandra Albano from the Executive Director and the Chairperson of the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts Commission, the President of Pacific Marketing Corporation, the Director of Sales and Marketing of the Ala Moana Hotel, the President of Kevin's Electric, Inc., and five individuals.
Sandra Albano is currently Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Travel Planners, Inc (TPI). Prior to joining TPI in 1996, Ms. Albano was employed by ITT Sheraton Hotels in Hawaii for thirty-four years, where she served in various capacities, including sales and marketing, rooms manager, and convention and incentive sales. She is actively involved in Hawaii's travel industry and for the last ten years has taught at the University of Hawai‘i HIHI summer program. Ms. Albano is also active in planning and coordinating numerous nonprofit fundraising events, and serves as a Hawaii Theater Center board member. She is a reappointment to the Commission.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Economic Development and Taxation that is attached to this report, your Committee, after full consideration of the background, experience, and qualifications of the nominee, has found the nominee to be qualified for the position to which nominated and recommends that the Senate advise and consent to the nomination.
