SENATE CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
calling for a joint session of the legislature for the purpose of appointing the director of the legislative reference bureau.
WHEREAS, section 23G-1, Hawaii Revised Statutes, provides that the Legislature, by a majority vote of each house in joint session, shall appoint a Director for the Legislative Reference Bureau who shall serve for a period of six years; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the Twenty-fourth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2008, the House of Representatives concurring, that the two Houses of the Legislature assemble in joint session in the chambers of the Senate at (time) on (day), (date) for the purpose of appointing Ken H. Takayama as Director of the Legislative Reference Bureau, whose term shall commence on (date).
