A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to health.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $          , or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2007-2008, and the same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2008-2009, for the purpose of funding the continuation of the Hawaii health care task force created by Act 223, Session Laws of Hawaii 2005, regarding the single-payer health care concept, for an additional two years.

     The sums shall be expended by the insurance division of the department of commerce and consumer affairs for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
