A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO KAUAI VETERANS CEMETERY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $102,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2007-2008, for the repair and maintenance of the Kauai veterans cemetery, to be expended in the following manner:

     (1)  $12,000, to tent the outdoor pavilion roof;

     (2)  $30,000, to make repairs to the roof due to termite damage;

     (3)  $15,000, to upgrade and repair the men and women's bathrooms;

     (4)  $30,000, to replace the arch;

     (5)  $10,000, for grave maintenance; and

     (6)  $5,000 for highway signage.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $50,800, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2008-2009, for continued repair and maintenance of the Kauai veterans cemetery.

     SECTION 3.  The sums appropriated in sections 1 and 2 shall be expended by the county of Kauai for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
