A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CONSUMER PROTECTION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 487-15, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:
"§487-15 Injunction. The
director of commerce and consumer affairs or the office of consumer protection
may bring civil proceedings to enjoin any violation of section 487-13(a) or any
other unlawful act or practice affecting consumers, trade, or commerce[.]
in the State."
SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
