A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO SPECIAL FUNDS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 37, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§37- Special funds; deposit of revenue. (a) Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, all state revenues collected from fees, concessions, permits, or taxes shall be deposited into the special fund, if available, associated with the state agency with which the revenue is most closely associated.
(b) The director of finance may adopt rules pursuant to chapter 91 to effectuate this section."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
