A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to water.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Chapter 174, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§174-  There is established within the treasury of the State a special fund for a water system that is located on public lands that are used for domestic and agricultural uses.  Moneys in the special fund shall be expended only for purposes relating to the water system."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
