A BILL FOR AN ACT
Making an appropriation to build and maintain a perimeter fence to protect the mauna kea forest reserve.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The purpose of this Act is to make an appropriation to build and maintain a perimeter fence to protect the Mauna Kea Forest Reserve.
SECTION 2. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $1,250,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for the next five fiscal years, beginning in fiscal year 2008-2009, for the construction and maintenance of a perimeter fence to protect the Mauna Kea Forest Reserve.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of land and natural resources for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2008.
