A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO STATE GOVERNMENT.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Section 371-16, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (b) to read as follows:

     "(b)  Beginning July 1, 2000, every insurer, if it chooses, shall be allowed by every [employer]:

     (1)  Employer[, labor];

     (2)  Labor organization[, retiree];

     (3)  Retiree organization[,]; or [other]

     (4)  Other entity;

specified under the definition of "group long-term care insurance", if they choose, to publicize one or more long-term care insurance policies that are made available under section 431:10H-401."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
