A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO JUSTICES AND JUDGES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 601, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§601- Public Disclosure of judicial discipline. All disciplinary sanctions imposed by the supreme court upon any justice or judge in the state of Hawaii along with the findings and recommendations of the judicial disciplinary commission, or its successor, shall be publicly disclosed within 30 days of the imposition of such sanction."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
