A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the tenth senatorial district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2007-2008:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Kuhio elementary school, Oahu
Plan, design, and construction of two classrooms that can be converted into one large classroom to be used for classes, lectures, meetings, performances, etc.

Total funding $709,000
B. Manoa elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction to resurface the playcourt and to reroof classroom buildings.
Design $ 46,000

C. Noelani elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction to enlarge library workspace.
Design and construction $ 400,000
Total funding $ 400,000
D. Roosevelt high school, Oahu
Design, construction to complete renovation of building A, phase III and electrical upgrade.
Design and construction $4,000,000
Electrical upgrade 997,000
Total funding $4,997,000
E. Stevenson middle school, Oahu
Design and construction of cafe/PE parking improvements and fire lane.
Design and construction $ 350,000

F. President George Washington middle school, Oahu
Design and construction of wheelchair ramps for Fred Wright building, elevator for H building, enclosing and air conditioning of Fred Wright building, and air conditioning of three C building classrooms.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
