A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

Making Appropriations for emergency medical services.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The legislature finds that it is vital to the health and safety of the residents and visitors of Oahu, that the Oahu emergency medical services be equipped with the necessary facilities, vehicles, equipment, and supplies to efficiently and effectively serve this community.  The purpose of this Act is provide funding for two fully-equipped ambulances, including lights, radio, docking station and wiring for computer connectivity, gurney, decals, and two lifepak 12 defibrillators to the department of health per year.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $          , or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2007-2008, and the same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2008-2009, for two ambulances, the vehicles and equipment, per year for the Oahu emergency medical services.

     The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of health for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $          , or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2007-2008, and the same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2008-2009, for two lifepak 12 defibrillators per year for the Oahu emergency medical services.

     The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of health for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
