HOUSE RESOLUTION
RELATING TO THE CAUCUS LEADERS AND THE COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE TWENTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE.
BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-fourth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2008, that KAREN LEINANI AWANA shall: be the Vice Chair of the International Affairs Committee; no longer be a Minority Whip; but remain as a member of the Finance Committee, the Health Committee, and the Human Services & Housing Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that JAMES KUNANE TOKIOKA shall: no longer be the Vice Chair of the International Affairs Committee; but remain as the Vice Chair of the Legislative Management Committee, an Assistant Majority Floor Leader, and a member of the Finance Committee, the Health Committee, the Human Services & Housing Committee, and the International Affairs Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that PONO CHONG shall: be a member of the Legislative Management Committee; and no longer be a Majority Whip, the Vice Chair of the Water, Land, Ocean Resources & Hawaiian Affairs Committee, and a member of the Finance Committee and the Energy & Environmental Protection Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that JON RIKI KARAMATSU shall: be a Majority Whip and the Vice Chair of Water, Land, Ocean Resources & Hawaiian Affairs Committee and a member of the Finance Committee and the Energy & Environmental Protection Committee; and no longer be a member of the Legislative Management Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that KIRK CALDWELL shall: no longer be a member of the Judiciary Committee and the Consumer Protection & Commerce Committee; but remain as the Majority Leader; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that K. MARK TAKAI shall: no longer be a member of the Health Committee, the Human Services & Housing Committee, and the International Affairs Committee; but remain as an Assistant Majority Floor Leader and a member of the Education Committee and the Higher Education Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that KYMBERLY MARCOS PINE shall: be a member of the Finance Committee; and remain as the Assistant Minority Leader and a member of the Judiciary Committee, the Transportation Committee, the Labor & Public Employment Committee, and the Public Safety & Military Affairs Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as amended by this Resolution, all appointments and committee memberships of the House of Representatives as set forth in H.R. No. 4 adopted by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-fourth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2007, shall remain in full force and effect.
