A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to the employee retirement system.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 88-73, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (d) to read as follows:
"(d) Any [member of the legislature]
elective officer who attains age sixty-five may retire and receive a
service retirement allowance although the [member] elective officer
continues to fill the elective position."
SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
