A BILL FOR AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $1 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2007-2008 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2008-2009 for the development, staffing, and implementation of a public health distance training program in the department of public health sciences at the University of Hawaii, to provide training in civil defense, emergency response, and community health.
The sums appropriated shall be expended by the University of Hawaii for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
