A BILL FOR AN ACT

Making an appropriation for improvements at the state park in makena, maui.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $       , or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2007-2008, and the same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2008-2009, for:

     (1)  The installation of a comfort station, including toilets, showers, and a dressing area; and

     (2)  An overnight camping area,

at the state park at Makena, Maui.

     The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of land and natural resources for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
