A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE seventeenth REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $ , or so much thereof as may be necessary, and the same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated for fiscal year 2007-2008 for the purpose of capital improvement projects for the nineteenth representative district, as follows:
I. To be expended by the Department of Transportation:
A. Maunalua Bay, Oahu
(1) Plans, design, and construction of a commercial loading dock.

Design $70,000
Construction $252,540
Total Funding $362,540
II. To be expended by the Department of Education:
A. Kaiser High School, Oahu
(1) Design and construction of girls varsity locker room facilities in compliance with Title IX requirements.

Construction $3,600,000
Total Funding $4,000,000
(2) New track.
Planning $50,000
Design $150,000
Construction $1,800,000
Total Funding $2,000,000
(3) Renovations to come into compliance with ADA, campus-wide
Total Funding $375,000
(4) Air conditioning of the school
Total Funding $10,000,000
B. Hahaione Elementary School, Oahu
(1) Electrical upgrades to school.
Total Funding $511,000
(2) Architectural barrier removal.
Total Funding $605,000
C. Kamiloiki Elementary School, Oahu
(1) Electrical upgrades to school.
Total funding $511,000
(2) Renovations to meet ADA accessibility standards, campus-wide
Total Funding $412,500
D. Koko Head Elementary School, Oahu
(1) Reroofing of two buildings.
Construction $328,000
Total Funding $328,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2008.
