A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to boating facilities at keehi lagoon.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $4,889,400 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2008-2009 for the following capital improvement project:

          Keehi lagoon, Oahu

          Plans and construction for the establishment of pier, bulkhead, and other facilities at Keehi lagoon to accommodate the relocation of boat repair facilities from Kewalo basin.

          Plans                                   $550,000

          Construction                          $4,339,400

          Total                                 $4,889,400

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of land and natural resources for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2008.
