A BILL FOR AN ACT
rELATING TO cAPITAL IMPROVEMENT projects for the Benefit of the twenty-third representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2007-2008:
1. To be expended by the department of land and natural resources:
A. Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor, Oahu
Improvements to floating deck and rows.
B, C, and D floating decks $3,000,000

B. Kewalo Basin, Oahu
Miscellaneous bike path improvements.

C. Waikiki sea wall, Oahu
Improvements to the Waikiki sea wall.

D. Diamond Head monument visitor center, Oahu
Design of the Diamond Head monument visitor center.
Design $2,500,000

2. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Jefferson elementary school, Oahu
Restroom renovations for building O.
Construction $ 100,000

B. Jefferson elementary school, Oahu
Electrical system upgrades for building R.

C. Ala Wai elementary school, Oahu
Campus drainage improvements.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agencies for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
