A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE eleventh REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2007-2008:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Kamalii elementary school, Maui
Improvements.
Electrical upgrade $ 750,000
Total funding $ 750,000
B. Kihei elementary school, Maui
Improvements.
Upgrades to comply with the Americans
with Disabilities Act. $ 375,000
Renovation of administrative/library
building. 8,900,000
Total funding $ 9,275,000
C. Lokelani intermediate school, Maui
Improvements.
Construction of six classroom buildings. $ 7,995,000
Architectural barrier removal. 825,000
Renovation of administrative/library
building. 10,000,000
Electrical upgrade. 1,350,000
Total funding $20,170,000
D. New elementary school in Makena, Maui
Planning, design, and construction of new elementary school.

2. To be expended by the department of transportation:
Expansion of North/South Collector road, Maui

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agencies for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
