A BILL FOR AN ACT
Making an Appropriation to assist in the development of an irrigation Pipe in Waimanalo.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The purpose of this Act is to appropriate moneys as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to assist the Waimanalo Corn Farm on Oahu by constructing an irrigation pipe from the water reservoir to the farm in order to provide the farm with water throughout the year seven days a week.
SECTION 2. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $400,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2007-2008, as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F, Hawaii Revised Statutes, for the construction of an irrigation pipe from the reservoir in Waimanalo to the Waimanalo Corn Farm.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of agriculture for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
