A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the thirty-first representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2007-2008:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Moanalua high school, Oahu
Design and construction for a performing arts center.
Design $300,000
Construction $12,000,000
Total funding $12,300,000
B. Salt Lake elementary school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for interior walls of classrooms C-1, C-2, C-3, and C-4.
Design $200,000
Construction $450,000
Equipment $300,000
Total funding $950,000
C. Salt lake elementary school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for interior walls of classrooms E-3 and E-4.
Design $200,000
Construction $450,000
Equipment $300,000
Total funding $950,000
2. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:
A. Salt Lake waterway, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for structural best management practices for state-owned facilities and dredging of Salt Lake.
Plans $10,000
Design $10,000
Construction $980,000
Total funding $1,000,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
