A BILL FOR AN ACT


 

 

relating to housing.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The department of public safety shall conduct a statewide study on the feasibility of an integrated approach to affordable housing, a private corrections facility focusing on rehabilitation, innovative agricultural systems, and waste management solutions in planned communities statewide.

     The department of public safety shall submit a report of its findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislation, no later than twenty days prior to the regular session of 2008.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
