A BILL FOR AN ACT


 

 

relating to housing.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $400,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2007-2008, as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to the Hawaii Habitat for Humanity and Kumulipo to fund a site study and plans for an integrated approach to affordable housing, a private corrections facility focusing on rehabilitation, innovative agricultural systems, and waste management solutions in a planned community at central Oahu.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii housing finance and development corporation for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
