A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the twenty-fifth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2007-2008:
1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:
A. William McKinley high school, Oahu.
Expansion of the cafeteria. $ 2,000,000
Renovation of historic building W, a building on the national register that has never been renovated. 10,000,000
Renovation of building 857.
Design 540,000
Construction 8,180,000
Equipment 100,000
Total funding $20,820,000
B. Central middle school, Oahu
Design and construction to enclose pedestrian over pass that connects the mauka and makai campuses.
Design 45,000
Construction 150,000
Total funding $ 195,000
C. Queen Kaahumanu elementary school, Oahu
Teacher's parking lot with fence.
Plans $ 5,000
Design 25,000
Construction 250,000
Total funding $ 280,000
D. Washington middle school, Oahu
Air conditioning of three C bldg. classrooms. $ 18,000
Wheelchair ramps for Fred Wright building. 25,000
Elevator for H building. 500,000
Enclosing and air conditioning of Fred Wright building. 800,000
Total funding $ 1,343,000
E. Lincoln elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction to repair rock wall in parking lot.
Design $ 90,000
Construction 850,000
Completion of classroom air conditioning project. 4,000,000
Install campus sprinkler system. 60,000
Install playground equipment and safety surfacing. 175,000

F. Roosevelt high school, Oahu

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
