A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to smoking.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Act 295, Session Laws of Hawaii 2006, is amended by amending section     -2 of the chapter established in section 2 of the Act to read as follows:

"§    ‑2 Prohibition on property and in facilities owned by the State or the counties.  Smoking shall be prohibited on all public beaches, in all public beach parks, and in all enclosed or partially enclosed areas, including buildings and vehicles owned, leased, or operated by the State or any county."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
