A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO THE LOSS MITIGATION GRANT FUND.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the loss mitigation grant fund the sum of $2,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2007-2008, for the purposes of the loss mitigation grant program under chapter 431, article 22, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

     SECTION 2.  The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of commerce and consumer affairs for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
