SB 251	RELATING TO INSURANCE. Requires a premium reduction of at least 10 per cent for drivers  who complete a driver accident prevention course.	TIA, CPH
SB 827	RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE EXPRESS WARRANTY ENFORCEMENT. Amends Hawaii's "lemon law" to include motorcycles in the definition of "motor vehicles".	TIA, CPH
SB 884	RELATING TO TRAFFIC. Creates a one year contraflow pilot project for the Pali highway and Kahekili highway, requires the department of transportation to perform a study on the efficacy of the Pali highway and Kahekili highway contraflow pilot project and report findings and recommendations to the legislature prior to the start of the 2008 legislative session. SB 888	RELATING TO HIGHWAYS. Appropriates funds for the department of transportation to plant trees along the center median of Kahekili Highway.	TIA, WAM
SB 946	RELATING TO ADMINISTRATIVE LICENSE REVOCATION. Permits driver whose license has been administratively revoked for life to seek reinstatement of the license after 10 years have passed since the lifetime revocation.  Requires driver to have had no arrests or convictions for driving while license revoked and be free from dependency or abuse of alcohol and drugs. Persons wishing to testify should submit 17 copies of their testimony to the committee clerk, Room 205, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to the hearing.  Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.  Please note that the Senator's office will not accept e-mail testimony.  Please direct all e-mail testimony to:  testimony@capitol.hawaii.gov.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the disabled) please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
