Allows an employee to use family leave during any calendar year to provide family care and support during the military deployment of the employee's child, spouse or reciprocal beneficiary, or parent. RELATING TO TAXATION. Establishes a 5% income tax credit for Hawaii employers that hire state residents who are members of the national guard. Establishes that the maximum tax credit per national guard/employee shall be $1,000.

Appropriates $ .

RELATING TO VETERANS LICENSE PLATES. Authorizes counties to waive the fees for special number license plates to veterans. Directs the office of veterans services to reimburse the counties for the waived fees. Appropriates funds.

Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.
