A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to government operations.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Section 76-11, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending the definition of "civil service employee" to read as follows:

     ""Civil service employee" means an employee who has met all requirements for membership in the civil service [under] pursuant to section 76-27."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
