A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING to animals.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 143, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§143- Dangerous dog registry. Each county that licenses dogs pursuant to this chapter shall maintain, for public inspection, a registry of dogs determined to be dangerous pursuant to applicable county ordinance. The registry shall include the address of the person to whom the license was issued pursuant to this chapter."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on January 1, 2008.
