A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO STATE FUNDS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Section 37-52, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:

     "§37-52  Provisions applicable to special funds.  All special funds maintained by all departments, commissions, boards, agencies, and establishments of the State shall be governed by this chapter, provided that departments and establishments shall not [be authorized to make expenditures out of any special fund] make any expenditure in excess of the moneys available in the special fund."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
