A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the thirtieth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2007-2008:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Kalihi elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction to resurface, recoat, and stripe parking lot and resurface walkway.
Design $5,000
Construction $55,000
Total funding $60,000
B. Kalihi-Uka elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction to renovate restrooms to replace fixtures, improve sanitation conditions, and minimize the use of water.
Design $5,000
Construction $95,000
Total funding $100,000
C. Kalihi-Uka elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction to repair screen tiles in buildings A and B.
Design $10,000
Construction $150,000
Total funding $160,000
2. To be expended by the city and county of Honolulu's department of facility maintenance, road division:
A. Kalihi street, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for road improvements on Kalihi street near Kalihi Uka elementary school through Kalihi Valley including repaving of severely damaged sections.

Construction $198,000
Total funding $200,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
