Description: To make the powers and duties of the Office of Information Practices (OIP) in administering part I of chapter 92, Hawaii Revised Statutes (Sunshine Law), consistent with its powers and duties in administering chapter 92F, Hawaii Revised Statutes, the Hawaii Uniform Information gives OIP the ability to render decisions. Makes compliance by boards mandatory, and, if necessary, allowing OIP to obtain court enforcement of its decisions.
