RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT SECURITY.

Appropriates federal Reed Act funds to the county workforce investment boards and DLIR for fiscal year 2006-2007. Removes the requirement that funds appropriated to the county of Hawaii workforce investment board be expended for the eradication of coqui frogs and other invasive species. Removes the timeline requirement for the release of funds under Act 249, SLH 2005. (SD1)

Establishes Integrated Tax Information Management Systems Special Fund (Fund) to receive revenues from the integrated tax information management systems post-implementation revenue-generating initiatives. Establishes a small business technology transfer program within the high technology development corporation. Exempts the high technology innovation corporation from chapter 36, HRS, relating to the management of state funds, chapter 38, HRS, relating to the deposit of public funds, and chapter 40, HRS, relating to state audit and accounting. Repeals the sunset of part I of Act 58, SLH 2004, to make permanent HTA's authority to hire an attorney for specialized services, supervise its own accounts, appoint a sports coordinator, and expend 5% of special fund moneys for administration. (SD1)
