RELATING TO DEFINITION OF NEIGHBORHOOD ELECTRIC VEHICLE. Clarifies the definition of "neighborhood electric vehicle" regarding carrying capacity, the number of vehicle wheels allowed, and the maximum gross vehicle weight rating allowed. |

RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES. Permits motor vehicle backup warning beepers to be disabled between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. if the vehicle's driver is assisted by another person while reversing. |

RELATING TO SPEED RESTRICTIONS. Establishes statutory maximum speed restrictions on various public roadways. Allows statutory maximum speed restrictions to be altered by official speed limit postings. |

RELATING TO THE HAWAII COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY. Adds 2 more members to the governing body of the Hawaii community development authority. Requires the governor to appoint 2 nominees, 1 from a list of nominees provided by the senate president, and 1 from a list of nominees provided by the speaker of the house of representatives. |

When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.
