RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION.

Establishes a multidisciplinary accident investigation team in the police department of any county with a population in excess of five hundred thousand persons for the purpose of investigating major accidents on state roadways in a manner designed to minimize lane and roadway closures during the investigation. RELATING TO WAIVER OF ABANDONED VEHICLE PUBLIC AUCTION REQUIREMENTS.

Increases from $250 to $1,000 the value of an abandoned vehicle for which public auction requirements may be waived. Removes requirement for the value of the vehicle to be appraised. (HB 2508 HD2)

RELATING TO DRIVER LICENSING.

Provides that conviction or license suspension or revocation for violation of provisional driver licensing law shall not give rise to requirement that person provide proof of financial responsibility.

RELATING TO USE OF INTOXICANTS.

Requires police to inform a person arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants of the sanctions for refusal to submit to breath, blood, or urine test only if person withdraws consent to testing implied by operation of a vehicle on public highway or waters of the State. (HB3257 HD1)

RELATING TO FIREWORKS.

Broadens the authority of a county to issue fireworks permits by providing that a county's authorized designee may issue permits; provided that the designee does not sell fireworks for permits issued at the same establishment. (HB1833 HD1)

RELATING TO ADMINISTRATIVE RULES.

Requires any state agency adopting, amending, or repealing an administrative rule to file two certified copies of the rule with clerk of the senate and of the house of representatives, respectively, at the time of filing the rule with the lieutenant governor. (HB1844 HD1)

When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.
