RELATING TO TIME SHARE ZONING.

Authorizes the counties to restrict time share units and time share plans in zoning districts, if they establish a time share zoning district.

RELATING TO FIREARMS.

Authorizes chiefs of police to issue licenses to carry a concealed firearm. Details processes for license applications, renewals, and record keeping. Strictly prohibits carrying concealed firearms under certain circumstances. Repeals HRS section 134-9.

Exempts a retired law enforcement officer from HRS sections 134-6 through 134-9.

Preempts any and all ordinances, resolutions or motions, or administrative action of any county or county agency relating to firearms.

Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.
